    Restorative Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Yoga Nidra

    My retreat offering:

    My retreat allows you to hit the pause button and invite balance and calm back into your being. Our mornings begin with Pranayama, a Hatha Slow Flow practice, Asana exploration and Meditation. Gently waking us up for the wonderful day ahead. I teach you strength, stability and alignment; not just for the body but for the mind and spirit too.

    Our evening sessions include nurturing Restorative practices and a Yoga Nidra. Gentle movement followed by supported postures that invite the body and mind to melt. I help you encourage the nervous system to slow down allowing you to recharge physically and emotionally. I guide you on a different Yoga Nidra each evening, bringing you to the deepest state of relaxation while still awake.

    We learn on this retreat that "just being" is ok and have a giggle on the way. Included, also, is a healthy dose of sparkle and fun!

    Who would benefit from my teachings:

    We all need a space that reminds us that to Rest and Restore is giving ourselves a precious gift. I teach from the belief that yoga is for everyone. This retreat is suitable for beginners and seasoned yogis alike. I offer modifications and allow you to go at your own pace. If you feel like a challenge that is explored too from a place of Ahimsa or self compassion. The retreat is for anyone who is tired with the 'glorification of busy'.

    What you will take home:

    A sense of rejuvenation, restfulness and ease that soothes and nurtures the soul. You also take with you the knowledge to get your own Restorative practice going at home. You have learned the tools to an essential healing system that can be used in times of stress or illness, as a 'rest and repair' to intense activity and as a way of integrating calm into the busyness of life.     • Reiki Healing - €80 per hour

    • 1:1 Yoga Therapy - a take home practice specifically for you - €80 per hour
    • An afternoon of making your own healing Silver Island Flower Essence - free
    • A nature Walk exploring the islands plants and their stories; botanical, medicinal and folklore - free

    Why I teach yoga:

    Yoga has always been a part of my life as my mother is a Yoga teacher too. I have my own personal experience that drew me to yoga. Having experienced Asthma and acute back pain for many years at a young age, I found that yoga was key to my health. Nowadays I am pain free and I breathe with ease. I believe Yoga is for everyone regardless of your ability. Restorative Yoga has helped me with grief, fertility and most of all...Life! I received my 500hr certification in Hatha Yoga from Yoga Therapy Ireland in 2012 and my postgrad Diploma in Yoga Therapy in 2015. I have expanded my learning by attending teachings lead by Judith Hanson Lasater, Amy Matthews, Donna Farhi, Brian Ingle, Julie Gudmestad and Ume Dinesmore Tuli. I continue my studies with a particular interest in Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra. Recently I have undertaken studies in Cancer Conscious Yoga, Yoga for Sports and Chair Yoga for limited mobility.
