TRAVELLING TO THE ISLAND
Our retreats are week long and run from Sunday to Saturday.
The pick up point for transfer via private water taxi to the Island is from the harbour of Oreoi on each Sunday, the day the retreat begins.
The transfer time is 12:30 midday. We time the transfers to the bus departure & arrival times.
The bus to catch from Athens is at 8:45am. Bus schedule subject to change, but we will keep you informed of any changes.
Alternatively, if you would like to spend some time exploring incredible Greece, there are many other airlines and flights into Athens. If you don't enjoy cities and want to get to the beach, then you are welcome to stay in our little local village of Oreoi. We have included accommodation recommendations and booking details in our travel pack for you.

PRIVATE TRANSPORT
From Athens to the port of Oreoi, the journey takes 3,5 - 4 hours.
We recommend the use of Athens Taxi Transfers for transfers as they are very professional and trustworthy. They can arrange your pick up from the airport to your hotel or from the airport directly to the local port of Oreoi. They offer private or shared taxi transfers. You can contact Frances on info@athens-taxi-transfers.com for prices for transfers or for for the price to Oreoi via either the mountains or the ferry crossing route. Frances can also arrange any pre or post holiday travel if required.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
From Athens to the port of Oreoi, the journey takes 4 hours.
The LIOSION Bus Terminal is where the KTEL bus departs from. We ask our guests to be on the 8:45am bus, which comes directly to our local port. the cost is €18 and it includes a fun ferry crossing €4,70. Bus tickets are available online but only available a few days before travel.
You will arrive at 12:20 midday and we will meet you as the bus comes in. You will have an opportunity to get a few last minute things in the village before departing for the island by water taxi at 12:30 midday.
If you are arriving the day or two before your retreat and would like to spend a few nights in the village of Oreoi, there are 3 busses to daily which leave from Athens
FROM THE ISLAND TO ATHENS
At the end of the retreat on the Saturday, you will be returned via water taxi to Oreoi at about 11:00/ 11:30am to catch the 1pm bus, arriving at 5pm or to take your taxi back to Athens, giving you time to enjoy the local village. When you are booking your return flight, please allow enough time to catch your outbound flight. We recommend flying out on Sunday or flights after 7pm on Saturday.
ALTERNATIVE ARRIVAL DATES /TIMES
Alternative arrival / departure times are not possible. If you are not able to make the arrival or departure times, this needs to be communicated well in advance and it will cost €200 for the trip, and will be weather dependent.
