WHERE IS SILVER ISLAND?
We are situated in the Gulf of Volos. North of the Island Evia. 3-4 hours NE from Athens.
WHEN IN YOUR RETREAT SEASON?
Our all-inclusive 7 day retreats run during our summer season - from Mid April through to early October. We are closed from November through to March. With space for only 11 lucky guests per week, Silver Island is a very special, exclusive getaway, the only private island yoga retreat in the world!
DO YOU OFFER SHORTER RETREATS OR WEEKEND RETREATS
Our retreats run on fixed dates from Sunday through to Saturday.
CAN I COME ALONE?
Yes! Many of our guests are solo travellers. We have one single occupancy room and other rooms are twin based on two sharing. If our single occupancy room is taken, you can buy both beds if you do not want to share. Single supplements are not available.
DO I HAVE TO SHARE?
All our rooms except Gaia are twin rooms, based on two sharing. Gaia is our only single occupancy room. If you prefer one of the other rooms, you can book both the beds in that room, to have for yourself. Single supplements are not available.
IS IT OK IF I AM A BEGINNER?
Yes! Everyone is welcome, from beginners to experienced yogis, it does not matter where you in your practice. We ask you to complete our online wellness questionnaire, which then allows your teacher to support your needs in getting the most from your retreat with us. It also allows your teacher to tailor make your yoga experience and due to the intimacy of the group, you will get the opportunity to have one on one time with your teacher to explore your yoga practice and take it as deep as you need.
DO YOU RENT THE ISLAND TO TEACHERS & STUDIOS?
We only offer in house retreats and hand pick our teachers. So we do not rent out the island or offer teacher hosted retreat packages. Please note that all our teacher positions are currently filled.
ARE THERE ANIMALS ON THE ISLAND?
Yes, we have 4 domesticated animals, 3 of those are our dogs; Kenala, Olive and Pepper and one is Kosma the cat. In the wild we have pheasants, owls, seagulls, lots of bird life and seals as well as all the other wonderful creatures found in nature.
HOW DO I BOOK A RETREAT?
We recommend you read the teachers profiles to see which teacher's offering resonates with you, and choose that one! If you only have a specific week, you can search by the dates from April through to October. You can find the Book Now button in the menu bar and in the retreat schedule page to book your retreat. We publish our yearly schedule online in November / December of each year. Our bookings first open to our previous guests for a week and then everyone else on the mailing list.

WHAT IS YOUR RESPONSE TO COVID?
Prior to travel for our guests:
Everyone is required to have tested negatively to Covid 72 hours prior to arrival.
Everyone is required to travel with a mask, it is mandatory in Greece.
Please maintain good hygiene practices - wash your hands often and use hand sanitiser.
Do not fly if you are ill in any way, and ensure you receive the medical attention you need.
If you have any underlying medical conditions, we highly recommend that you do not fly
On the island:
There are only 6 of us on the island and we are all vaccinated and take rapid tests weekly. Please note that we have always maintained the highest hygiene standards as we are also aware of all those other virus’s out there. We will be focusing on ensuring your immune systems stay nice and strong whilst with us and that you can escape a bit from the realities of life and enjoy your time here with us. We will be implementing the following:
With you complimentary gifts you will also receive:
Your own hand sanitiser
A mask, should you wish to wear it or for your travel home.
A personalised disinfectant spray bottle to use and it can be refilled as many times as you need! This is for you to disinfect the beach furniture pre and after use, the kayaks and sups and any outdoor lounging areas that you use.
You will be allocated all your yoga equipment, at the beginning of your stay, to use whilst with us. This will be disinfected after your stay, but you are welcome to disinfect it daily if you wish.
You will each have use of one set of snorkels and goggles / flippers during your stay or if you feel more comfortable, please bring your own.
Each room and bathroom will have hand sanitiser and disinfectant spray and will be disinfected each day when we clean.
All communal areas will have hand sanitiser and disinfectant spray available and will be disinfected twice a day when we clean.
We will do our utmost to put as much space as possible between the two beds - if you are not a couple! And will keep the windows and doors open to allow ventilation throughout the rooms.
Meals will still be held communally, with the option of sitting in different spaces.
All food will be served by one person.
The kitchen will be closed to guests.
What you can do to also ensure safety for yourselves and fellow yogis:
Maintain safety precautions and practices
Use the sanitisers provided.
Use the disinfectant spray liberally - on everything! Especially high touch point areas.
If you feel sick, to let us know immediately and you will be isolated until we can get you to town for a test.
